You are five today. Five. A whole hand. You seem so much older than that small number, yet at the same time I feel like I'm still only beginning to know you. I am blessed beyond measure to be your mother, to get to be witness to the amazing things you say, you think, you create. You teach me on a daily basis what it means to really be here in this world. You have taught me whole new meanings of friendship, you have taught me what it means to bring your true self to the world.
