This year Nate has discovered the delights of the honeysuckle vine we have outside our bedroom door. There is a visit to the bush almost daily to see if there are any yellow bloom to bite the tips off to get that one tantalizing drop of sweet. Today, Nate decided to take Logan to visit this special bush. While sitting at the far end of the sidewalk watching Sarah, I caught this snippet of conversation, surely as sweet at the nectar they were searching for:
Nate: These are going to be honeysuckles.
Logan: But right now they're honeyflowers?
Nate: Yeah, they're honeyflowers and then they turn into honeysuckles when they're ready.
Logan: Oh, okay.

i heart nate
Conversation had at the Yellow Deli during dinner:
Jed: Nate, if you could have one superpower, to do anything in the whole world, what would you want that to be?
Nate: (immediately, without a pause) I'd want it to be what mommy does.
Let's just say I was in a funk when we went to dinner but everything seemed SO much better when we left. I forget sometimes, I DO have mommy superpowers. Um, yeah, I love that kid.
