This weekend we finally decided to take the leap and add to our small family. No, I'm not pregnant, we decided to go the feline route and adopted a cat. We went to the animal shelter in Carlsbad and fell in love with the first cat we met. His name is Schwartz, he's 6 months old and he's just about the biggest love bug you could hope for. As you can tell from the pictures, he and Nathaniel get along really well. The minute you walk into a room, Schwartz will start purring away, just happy to have you there. He even comes up to Nathaniel as he's walking to get him to pet him...imagine that, a cat who likes toddlers! So far, so good. Just wanted to share our happy news!

Your cat is so stinkin' cute! I can't wait to meet him. Also, he and Nate together is just about the most adorable thing I've ever seen. He must be totally smitten, no?
ok... i just met "baby" and yes, he is the cutest kitty ... and yes, nate and baby are soooo cute... i also witnessed "baby" and logan .... and jen, kitty obviously loved being carried around upside down by logan or he would have scratched away.... i just cant believe you found your first pet and he is the most understanding animal around! love ya...bonbon

He IS the best cat, ESPECIALLY because he likes toddlers :) We'll just keep working on 'gentle hands' anyway...wouldn't want the kiddos to think all cats are this way!
