time, oh time, where did you go?

I've been away for too long yet I'm in no shape to sit and post pictures and share all our happenings...here are the highlights:

1. We closed escrow on our house on April 15th. We are now officially home owners!

2. As homewoners, we quickly embarked on a series of projects on said house so that it'll be 'move-in ready' (ie removed popcorn ceilings and installed fence on upper terrace of backyard so nate can't roll his way to the bottom of the property.

3. I realized that painting ceilings for 2 days straight is THE best arm/shoulder workout you can get- even better than the pilates/yoga class jess and I go to on Wednesday.

4. We are SLOWLY in the process of moving out. This is WAY harder with a toddler. Saturday is our official moving day, with lots of boxes going over in the meantime.

5. We will forever be in debt to my amazing family who has helped paint trim (a task I loathe) and design and build fences and (hopefully this weekend) move our heavy furniture into the new place. They are the best.

6. I'll be sending official 'we've moved' postcards as soon as we settle but if you're in the mood for writing, our new address is 1272 Peach Grove Lane, Vista CA 92084.

I promise pictures soon. There are so many exciting things about our new home. We have more oranges than a family of 3 can handle. We will have apricots, persimmon, peach?, guava?, plum? (I didn't ask the previous owner as I'd like them to be a surprise) in the coming months- not to mention the exciting paint colors we chose for the living room. I can't wait to cook in our new kitchen and to move our newly inherited player piano into our living room. So much for one mama to think about. Ahhh, home ownership, it's lovely.
