sort of a blur

I was talking to my sister the other day about Nathaniel, his teething and how it has turned my world topsy-turvy. I mentioned how tired I've been lately as he has had a rough time staying asleep, going down for naps and all that good stuff. She then replied that it couldn't be that bad as it was finally happening at 6 months...or something like that. Her main point being, we've had a pretty easy time of it with Nathaniel, as co-sleeping has meant that none of us fully wake up during the night. To actually have a "rough night" six months into this whole parenting gig makes me appreciate all the more the choices that we have made.

Unfortunately, it doesn't take away the reality that I'm gosh darn tired these days. Teething took a lot out of both of us. Nathaniel has become pretty cranky and whiny during his waking days and only with some really hard work getting him down to naps again is he finally settling back into some good sleeping patterns. The poor guy is obviously exhausted and frustrated and it took a good bit of time for me to finally catch on to what he needed.

Because of this, most of my days lately have become a blur. Literally, it seems that the edges of everything I see and do are blurry and unfocused. Luckily Jed was able to take off the day yesterday (as he goes in to work on Saturday) and I got some alone time and they got some daddy/son time. We all got what we needed :)

Along with all that, my iPhoto seems to have crashed and my pictures are all jumbled together now- not such a good thing for a neat-freak such as myself.

Well, luckily the latest pictures of Nate were on my desktop, so that's what you get to see today! Check out Nate's TWO new teeth (slowly making their way into the world...kind of like Nate's birth!) as well as some cutie pics from our last trip to Catalina.
