Growing more than just a boy...

So, if you remember back to May, I had planted a garden with the help of family. Well, a few months have gone by now and not only is my baby looking SO much bigger...so is that same tiny plot of land. Behind Nathaniel you will see tomatoes that have reached gargantuan proportions *those are only two plants back there* as well as sunflowers, a serrano chili plant, and a variety of herbs. All in all, the garden is also filling in with a pineapple sage plant, a few strawberry plants taken from an old patch in the front yard, beets, nasturtium, corn and lots of new, soft lettuce.

I know that a few people were doubtful when they saw the first pictures, asking me whether I was going to plant more, saying that it was looking a little bare...I reminded them that these things take time, give it that and it would go from bare to blooming in no time and voila! The tomato and serrano plants have already gone into bloom and I spotted my first baby cherry tomatoes yesterday.

In the next few weeks, I hope to add some yummy cilantro (though I fear it may be getting too hot for that) along with some onions so I can have almost all the makings of the world's best guacamole.

There's just something so satisfying at looking at something that was just a bare patch of land just a few months ago and is now overflowing with green and life. Kind of like watching a young boy grow :)
