Of diapers and sunflowers

The sun is finally upon us (at least for a brief while, perhaps). That seems like such a silly thing to say from Southern California but, I have to say, the last few weeks have been down-right dreary. I've taken to line drying Nathaniel's diapers which has FINALLY taken out the stink they accumulated and I had started to worry they might mildew out there with no sun. Needless to say, it is finally glorious weather and now I get to bring in sun-stiff diapers that smell like the beach and watch our seeds begin to sprout in our tiny plot. All of the seeds have sprouted now...corn, sunflowers, cucumber, lettuce, beets and nasturtium and the cherry tomato plant has its first bud. My next task is to start moving the seedlings around, making sure they don't crowd up on themselves. We want all the lovely plants we can handle. As my dad would say, we're really rockin' and rollin' now!
