while daddy's away, we will play

We weren't able to eat at home as a family all last week. Unfortunately, not necessarily notable in itself this semester (have I even written here that I have gone back to school to get a Library Tech certificate to work in libraries? Maybe not, maybe so...I digress) but what was notable that by Thursday, Nathaniel and I were a little off kilter and we just HAD to bake. I found a super simple popover recipe, through some strawberries and raspberries on the stove and voila- a dinner fit for a hungry mama and baby who just don't care if all the food groups aren't represented at dinner :) Needless to say, Nate was quite excited by the idea of food with the word 'pop' in it, though I could tell he was a bit disappointed when they came out and saw that I had meant that they pop up in the pan, not make a popping noise when you push on them...ah to be two and so misunderstood.
