grown up at last

I try to keep up with this blog at least once a week but this week slipped through my fingers. It has been SUCH a week, too, I wish I could have kept up.

I suppose the first big news has to be that Jed and I are entering the world of grown-ups this month. We put in an offer on a house in Vista this week, our offer was accepted and we are now officially in escrow. Escrow closes on April 11, the old owners move out by the 14 and on that day, we will become homeowners. The process in just this week has been mind boggling, we still have that much more to do and I wonder if the rock in my stomach will eventually dissipate.

It's a lot like when we found out our little baby boy was coming. Pure joy and excitement yet a rock of responsibility quickly formed in the pit of my stomach. Of course, I had 9 months for the responsibility to sink in. We have 30 days.

I wish I had a picture of our lovely abode to share. It is just too perfect for us. A yard to plant in, all the citrus we'd like, a cul de sac for Nathaniel to learn to ride his bike in, the coziest living room and kitchen imaginable.

I'll try to catch up on pictures.

Oh! News number two is that we have an official walker now. Nathaniel walks about 80% of his day and he's becoming more and more steady each day. I've got some great videos but have yet to upload them. I'll work on all that later.

That's most of our news. How about yours?

Congrats, Jen! How exciting! It looks lovely. I'm just starting to explore Vista; don't really know it well yet. Maybe we can get the whole group to buy there and actually have a truly local community!!?! I'll be sending good thoughts for a smooth transition to your new home.
Hugs,
Megan (Senna's mom)
