early spring

While most of the country is still deep in snow and ice, spring has begun here in southern california. After a few good drenchings, the wildflowers are in bloom and most everywhere you look is green. This morning, Nathaniel crawled up to Logan's stroller, stood up and said, "Git," pointing to the stroller. He then said, "Ow" (out). Not being one to argue when he (finally) wants to go into a stroller, I plopped him in and when for a walk. It helped that it was already about 65 degrees out as well. Along the way we picked up the most vivid purple flower. Nathaniel held it tight in his fist the rest of the walk, smelling it every now and then. It actually made it all the way home without getting eaten, a first from the boy who puts everything in his mouth.

Thanks for all the comments everyone, I really appreciated them on the last couple posts. I know there are more of you out there as well...don't be shy :) It's good to know that people read what's going on in our little family.

For those of you in cold climates, February is almost through...soon you'll be smelling wildflowers too!
