Well, as happens with babies, one minute they're like jello in your hands, the next minute they're doing "baby push-ups" and rolling over! My sister and I were talking today and we decided Nate is a classic "textbook baby," ie doing everything the books say he "should" be doing when they say is "should" happen. The funny part ot us is that we're not really worried either way, we figure it'll happen when it happens, which kind of makes it funny that it's happening as it should. Does that sentence make any sense?
I'm feeling a bit slow these past few days...I'm thinking it's the emotional toll that driving with Nathaniel causes me. It's getting a bit ridiculous now, some days we can't even leave the parking lot before the crying and screaming begins. Today it took us 2 hours to get back from the Escondido DMV (remember, we live in Carlsbad, 25 minutes away)...that was after 2 pull-outs for feeding, walking, looking at flowers, and valiant attempts to get him to sleep. If it wasn't so heart-wrenching I would actually love to have a picture of Nathaniel during one of his melt downs as I am working under the assumption that eventually this will all be a very distant memory :)
Instead, I decided to post pictures of a happier sort...as that's how he really is as a person. Check him out...he's starting to get into "I'm ready to MOVE mama!" mode. It seems so frustrating sometimes when he's grunting and kicking and pulling and not getting anywhere...kind of nice for me, though, as I have a feeling these days will be so short-lived!
Getting ready for our big trip to the bay area...one day left! I'll keep you posted on our happenings up there....au revoir!
