We have had the most wonderful and welcome rain the past few days. It will pour buckets for a minute or two (it is Southern California after all) and then there will be a break and the apricot tree downstairs glows. I am so happy to know all the compost I spread is soaking deep into soil and right into hungry tree and vegetable roots. I am so happy to know I don't have to turn on the water for another month. I am so happy just to hear the pitter patter on the roof, the sweetest lullaby at night. Yippee!
